Google Sheets is a powerful tool for working with data and it includes a number of built-in functions that can be used to analyze and manipulate data. One of these functions is the IF statement, which can be used to perform different actions based on the outcome of a logical test. The OR function can be used in conjunction with the IF statement to check multiple conditions at once.

To use the OR function in IF statements in Google Sheets, follow these steps:

  1. Select the cell where you want the result of the function to appear.
  2. Type "=IF(" in the formula bar.
  3. Enter the first logical test you want to check.
  4. Type "," and enter the value you want to return if the logical test is true.
  5. Type "," and enter the value you want to return if the logical test is false.
  6. Type ")" and press Enter.

The OR function can be added to the first logical test by including it in the parentheses like this: =IF(OR(condition1,condition2),value if true, value if false)

This way, if either of the conditions are met, the function will return the value specified if true.
